instead of exporting the entire project and points, etc... we could use a "export what is visible on the screen" option. this would allow us to minimize our projects and instead use a "master" project for each county or client.
right now, we have over 1000 projects since each job is stored as a separate project. since locus doesn't like having that many projects in the file system (makes it slow to load) we offload them onto dropbox and only store a few on the device at any given time.
if locus could handle say 10,000 points, we could just use one project per county or client and have the data available similar to ESRI being online. BUT it's inefficient to download the entire county or client as we would only need what is visible on-screen for a given project.
