Using LGIS in Landscape Planning

We are using Beta of Locus GIS since December 2014 first for testing, since January 2015 in productive work, especially in field surveys. Even as Beta 0.7 it became a well-featured GIS suitable for business. Not that extensive like a desktop-GIS but adequately equipped for field work. In contrast to other attempts to make Android GIS's the user interface of LocusGIS looks very handy.

We were using LGIS Beta in several landscape planning projects in Germany and Romania with several colleagues. Recently there are some remaining issues in ver 0.7 (e.g. problems regarding WMS!) which will hopefully will be fixed. There are also some wishes regarding teamwork and syncing - maybe this comes later...

We ran LocusGIS with best results on stylus-equipped devices. Recently running on Galaxy Note 1, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1. Stylus makes digitizing very easy especially when combined with turned-on snapping feature in LGIS.

Thanks a lot so far for this fine piece of app! We are eagerly awaiting your next improved Beta, or final app!

After publication of ver. 0.8: LGIS became quite better, several issues were solved. No crashes anymore, WMS-servers are available again and an issue regarding display of polygons is solved.

I'm lucky now and very curious what the future brings...
