Share the maps between Locus Pro and Locus GIS

It would be nice if i could use the same vector map file in both apps (without copying it and having in 2 folders). Or is that option already there?

If you use V 0.5.2

to each project is automatic add a map.

Open project, click in line of map right on "3-dot button"

now you can use maps from intern or extern SD-card

I think that such solution is enough for common usage, what you think? With this is possible to have for example one centralized directory with maps for both apps.

Only disadvantage is currently that downloaded maps from Locus Store (mainly vector maps) are stored in root directory/mapsVector or certain app.

It can be enough, when the feature will be documented in some manual, which is understandably not accesible at this stage of development. I had a problem precisely with vector .map files, that were not clickable (error: Problem with .map file). But then i somehow managed to add Locus/mapsVector directory into LocusGIS and maps are usable ;)

Hi Julian, guys,

In Locus Map is possible to define external directory for Vector maps, more here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:settings:misc , settings "Default directories".

I'm now not 100% sure if same system is already in latest public version of Locus GIS anyway in next version, same option will be available. I use it already for some time and it works pretty well.
