is there a way to disable the measuring tool when adding a point?
some of our users are confused when the measure tool shows up after placing a point. is there a way to disable this feature in the settings (i didn't see it...)
thanks!

I agree.... Perhaps a "dedicated" measuring tool above the square point marker.
Hi guys,
may you describe me better what you do? Because I do not see any "measuring tool" when adding new points.
My steps:
1. open side panel with layers
2. in any "points layer", from menu choose Add new "Point" option
3. tap on any place on the map and choose "confirm"
4. fill metadata > confirm
5. done, back on map, no "measure" mode

After your step 2, once back on map the new little "+" widget pops up with
three option icons (select location, GPS & points). If you choose the
points icon (square with dot in center) the point area around the
crosshairs highlights to green, once this happens if you pan the screen,
the measure tool is activated. I noticed this and just do not pan. I
usually use the GPS option for my current location to place new point.
Ah thanks, so we are talking just about dashed line with distance. It is anyway just a visual glitch, it has no effect on functionality, right?
I'm thinking if this may be useful or not. What about when you select "Add new 'MULTIPOINT'? Isn't distance from previous point useful?
It won't be a big problem to disable this, I'm just thinking if this value is a) problem, b) completely useless.

".....distance from previous point useful?" Yes! This is not an issue for me at all.
