import/export spatialite db

Tried playing around with the LocusGIS project database (project.db) on QGIS connecting it as a spatialite database as Kadir mentioned (http://help.locusgis.com/responses/about-synchronization-and-multiuser) and it works quite well. Was able to add data and edit attributes data on QGIS and changes are reflected on Locus. I think ArcGIS also has spatialite support but I haven't tried.

I think export of whole project.db to spatialite and and import of spatialite.db (even with rules on how to structure the database) would be very helpful. That way one can work on the project itself (or create a project) on desktop GIS applications using spatialite without the need for .shp files and without accidentally breaking project.db for LocusGIS (which I did when trying to do crazy things with the data).
