Been waiting for this

I have been using Locus Pro for my field GPS work as an archaeologist in the Philippines since I got my first android phone (Motorola defy). Been trying other mapping apps but always end back with Locus. The only thing missing was being able to customize data collection fields and export to GIS ready format like .shp so I had to purchase another app for it. But now Locus GIS. Been testing it for the past few weeks and it works great. Even tried digitizing contour lines (with a Tegra Note) from photographed paper maps georeferenced using Locus Pro on-board map calibrator and it was very usable and I think the best android digitizer I've used. Hopefully other functions like dropdown lists, tick/check boxes, photo attachments would be added to the data entry choices. Can't wait to test it out on the field. Thank you developers.

Hello Emil,

thanks for a nice feedback. Just published new version brings awaited drop down selection, thick boxes. Photos are planned, but not yet implemented.

Hope you'll find usage in this Beta version and in case you find any issues, feel free to reported them.

Thanks Menion,

Tried playing around with the new options. Works quite well so far. One thing though, can't seem to change normal text field to enumeration or tick boxes. I think this would be useful when working with imported shapefiles. Overall nice work. Will post more comments when I get to try it more extensively on my next field survey.
